The Junkyard Drummers - An Introduction,

The Junkyard Drummers was conceptualised students from M.C.Kejriwal Vidyapeeth, Howrah in 2008 when they got an invitation from St. Thomas's School, Howrah for an unconventional music competition. The Band then had members of various age groups varying from students of classes 9-12. The Band gave a stunning newbie performance at the fest but missing the winners podium by just a margin. This came as a booster for the boys, who prepared sensibly for the next fest which was the Indradhanush Fest organised by Sun Rise (Eng Med) School, Howrah. This was where they tasted success and there was no looking back for them.

Rahul and Hardik Katrodia, the lead junk drummers of the band brought in the idea to recreate music out of a basketball which was a grand success, this won them The Great TTIS Challenge held in December 2008. This was followed by a victory in Boscotsav (Don Bosco School, Howrah) and also at various other competitions.

In July 2009, the
Junkies planned to just go for the auditions of a popular TV show "Entertainment Ke Liye Aur Kuch Bhi Karega" and got selected for the second round at Mumbai. The Junkies currently comprise of 6 members,
  • Junkie Aditya - suitcases.
  • Junkie Anurag - glasses, spoons, plates.
  • Junkie Hardik - paint boxes, drums, water bottles.
  • Junkie Lalit - water gallons, empty drums.
  • Junkie Mayank - various utensils.
  • Junkie Prateek - basketball, glass bottles, coins.
(alphabetically arranged)

The Junkies are currently preparing for the second level of the talent show. So Please just wish them luck!!

The Junkyard Drummers.

Yiiippppeeee!!
My Bro, Hardik's Band, The Junkyard Drummers, have been selected for the Second Round of the popular talent show "Entertainment Ke Liye Aur Kuch Bhi Karega", the second edition of the popular Sony TV show.

The Junkyard Drummers as the name might suggest is a band which plays music out of junk. They have specialised in generating music out anything and everything possible, be is utensils or suitcases, gallons or water bottles, they even tried it out with basket balls and volleyballs. An awesome band of just all the members still in 15+ age group, the band already has had their foot prints left at most of the Inter School Fests where there is an Unconventional Musical Competition. The group has won The Telegraph In School Challenge Unconventional Music Awards at the functions this year which came as moral booster. Also having won prices at Boscotsav (Don Bosco School), Indradhanush (Sun Rise School) and at various other fests the band is earning many accolades. The Junkyard Drummers also stole the show away at the 10 year celebration of their Alma Mater, M.C.Kejriwal.

Conceptualised and inspired by Shivamani, the group is currently recreating sounds of various wavelenghts and hoping to crack their luck at the popular Talent show. Looking forward to their success.

Yet another Mamata Fiasco!!

While writing the earlier article The Telegraph published its Monday's(27th, July) newspaper ad its already on the web. Mamata Banerjee, famous for her Tata-Nano-Singur-Faisco was in town to inaugurate a computerised reservation system in New Alipore has made an announcement to start some new trains and some ladies special trains on various route. So before discussing the latest fiasco lets discuss the Ladies Special trains launched earlier by Didi.

The Bandel Howrah Ladies Special:

A Ladies speacial train which start form Bandel at morning 8.40 and reaches Howrah at 9.35am. And in the evening leaves Howrah at 7.55pm and reaches Bandel at 8.55pm though the train has additinal security in terms of women constables to make it difficult for the Romoes to get on to the train but the up timings are not at all suitable for the women folk of our sub-urban semi rural areas. And thats what all are complaning about.

Now comes yet another publicity styunt by Didi, paying a tribute to Ma-Mati-Manush (for which she also crippled our city on 21st July, 2009) has now promised to run a train between the erstwhile Tata Nano Plant Site i.e., Singur to Howrah. And you can all guess it's name - Andolan... Ya thats what the train will be called. Ha ha!!

Way to go Mamata Didi!!

What's there in the Name!!!

I have done my Khana Pina Nachna Gana ab please mera Band Baja do!!

!@$(!)~*$)!
$@!_!@*$~+$@&@$(#^%

That's how you'll for your Metro Railway ticket from Park Street to M.G.Road. Hahahahaha!!!
Mamata Banerjee finally gifts something to Kolkata... And all new Metro rail service!!
New because of the names and the few stations which are going to be added hopefully. You know what guys I can't just stop laughing and giggling when I hear the latest names of our Metro Stations. Just imagine some St. Xavier's College student waiting in the Metro ticketing queue asks for a ticket to Ghana Pina Nachna Gana and a Scottish Church College students asks for a Hutom Pyancha ticket... hahahahaha!!
It's just so stupid of some one in the bureaucracy to name Sovabazar to Dugga Dugga and Kalighat to Ma Mati Manush!! Simply so sarcastic.

But ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to Kolkata ~ Calcutta, the City of Joy. If a Calcutta-Digha Express can be named Tamralipta Express.. surely anything can be done by our Didi!

So our Metro is currently operative from Uttam Kumar (i.e., TollyGunge) to Lord Clive (i.e., Dum Dum) and will be extended up to Khudiram!! Wow!!

The Great Indian Freedom Struggle relived in the Metro. Ha ha!! What a ride would it be!! From Lord Clive to Khudiram...
